Akadi
Closed beta this winter

The tutor that actually shows up.

Akadi is a live AI tutor built around the exams that count. Dot calls at the times you set, makes you do the thinking, and sends your parents proof of progress every week.

Meet Dot

Your tutor has a face. Go ahead, poke it.

Dot is the one who calls, teaches and cheers. Spin Dot, pet the fur, boop the nose. Turn your sound on. Leave Dot alone for a while and see what happens.

The problem

Tutoring is broken. It is either out of reach or unreliable.

Private tutors

Families love the results, when they come. They also pay $35 to $65 an hour, and deal with cancellations and a new tutor every few months.

Great, if you can afford it.

Study apps

Clear structure and fair prices. But nobody calls if you skip, so the subscription quietly goes unused.

Content without commitment.

Chatbots

Fast and always on. They hand over the answer instead of teaching it, and they do not know what your exam will ask.

Answers, not understanding.

How it works

Four steps, three sessions a week, one goal: the exam.

1

Diagnose

A short adaptive check maps what you know and where the gaps are, topic by topic. It repeats every few weeks.

2

Teach

Live sessions with Dot, matched to what your exam actually tests. Dot leads, asks, and waits for your answer.

3

Commit

Dot calls at your set times. You pick the stakes that keep you showing up, from parent check-ins to a public goal.

4

Prove

Exam-style tasks, graded the way the real test is. Progress you can see, not hours on an invoice.

Commitment, your way

Duolingo commits you to a streak. Akadi commits you to a result.

Motivation runs out by week three. So Akadi lets each student choose what holds them to it. Try the switches.

2 of 4 commitments on. Most beta families will start with two.

For parents

You see progress, not invoices.

Every week you get a short report against the exam standard: what was covered, what stuck, and what comes next. Dot does the check-ins so you do not have to nag. Dot is always labeled as AI and never speaks as you.

Compare

Safe by design

Built for kids from day one.

Always labeled AI

Dot is a character, not a person, and never pretends to be a parent, a teacher, or a friend.

Parents hold the keys

Parents decide what gets shared, with whom, and can switch any commitment off.

Private by default

Public goals are opt-in and show a target only, never grades or test results.

FAQ

Questions families ask

Who is Akadi for?

Students preparing for an exam that matters, and the parents who want to see them get there. We start with math.

Is Dot a real person?

No. Dot is Akadi's AI tutor, a fuzzy little character with a warm voice. Sessions are live and spoken, and Dot is always clearly labeled as AI.

When can we start?

A small closed beta opens this winter. Waitlist families get invited first, in the order they signed up.

What does it cost?

Beta families pay nothing. After the beta, Akadi will cost a fraction of a private tutor. We will share pricing with the waitlist before launch.

What if my kid ignores Dot?

Dot gets a little sad, then tries again. If sessions keep getting skipped, the parent report says so, and the commitments you chose kick in.
